Altamont baseball put together their best season in team history going 31-10 en route to a 2nd place finish at the IHSA 1A State Tournament. The Indians made their state run with four one run wins in the postseason, beating North Clay 1-0 in the Regional Championship, beating South Central 5-4 in the Sectional Championship, beating Hardin County 7-6 in the Super-Sectional and getting a 3-2 walk-off win over Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley in the State Semifinals to earn their first trip to the 1A State Championship game.
