“Best Of” Winter Sports-Girls Basketball All Area Team (in no particular order)

Macee Rodman, CHBC-Macee put together an outstanding season for the Lady Bobcats averaging 18 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 2.5 steals per game and 1.8 assists per game.  Macee was named 1st team All-NTC and 1st team All-EIC.

Kelsey Hayes, Ramsey-Kelsey gave the Lady Rams a big presence on the boards.  Kelsey averaged 4 points per game, 12 rebounds per game and 2 assists per game.  She was named 1st team All-EIC.

Dayana Haslett, BSE-The Lady Bombers Freshman had a heck of a 1st year in High School averaging 16.6 points per game in helping to lead the Lady Bombers to 26 wins.  Dayana was named 1st team All-NTC, 1st team All-EIC and 3rd team state by the IBCA.

Lexi Seabaugh, BSE-The Senior leader averaged 15.7 points per game in helping lead the Lady Bombers to 26 wins.  Lexi also passed 1,000 points for her career during the year.  Lexi was the MVP of the Egyptian Illini Conference, 1st team All-NTC and Special Mention for the IBCA all state team.

Peyton Osteen, Altamont-Peyton was a strong contributor for the Lady Indians state tournament team averaging 7.3 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 2 assists per game and 2.9 steals per game.  She was named Honorable Mention All-NTC.

Katie Eckhardt, Vandalia-Katie averaged 11.7 points per game and 5.5 rebound per game in her Senior season and also passed 1,000 points for her career.  Katie was named 3rd team all-South Central Conference.

Madison Lupton, Vandalia-Madison had a very strong season, averaging 14.2 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game and 2.5 steals per game.  Madison will be back looking for a big year with Coach Rinehart and the Lady Vandals this winter.

Claire Boehm, Altamont-Claire helped the Lady Indians bring home 28 wins and their first trophy from the state tournament while contributing 4.3 points per game, 2.2 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game and 1.4 assists per game.  She also earned a few bruises in helping the cause as she drew 19 charges on the season.

Ruby Stuckemeyer, CHBC-Ruby put together a very strong Senior season averaging 8.8 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game and 1.3 assists per game.  Ruby was named 1st team All-EIC and Honorable Mention All-NTC.

Kaylee Lurkins, Altamont-Kaylee had a very strong Sophomore season for the Lady Indians, contributing 6.5 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game to help the Lady Indians to 28 wins and a 3rd place finish at state.

Taegan Webster, South Central-The multi-sport standout athlete kept it rolling during her Senior basketball season with 18 points per game, 7.5 rebound per game, 2.5 assists per game and 3.5 steals per game.  Taegan was named 2nd team All-NTC.

Kaitlyn Swift, South Central-Kaitlyn averaged 9.2 points per game, 4.2 assists per game, 3 rebounds per game and 3.1 steals per game for the Lady Cougars.
