Altamont Falls to Charleston

Altamont softball could not turn any of their four hits into runs, suffering a 10-0 loss at Charleston on Tuesday. The Indians would be locked in a scoreless battle with the Trojans for the first three innings, before Charleston broke into the scoring column with a pair of runs for a 2-0 lead. The Indians could not stop Charleston in the fifth inning as a grand slam would help bust the game open and Charleston went ahead 9-0. A final run in the bottom of the sixth would make it 10-0 to end the game as Altamont was held scoreless in the effort. Grace Lemke, Sophia Pearcy, Madison Tonn and Peyton Osteen each had a hit in the game for Altamont, who drops to 8-6 on the season. Altamont will be on the road again today, as they have a National Trail Conference matchup at CHBC.
