CHBC Gets Come Behind Win Over WSS in NTC Matchup


Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City used a fourth quarter run to grab a come behind win at Windsor/Stew-Stras, 56-55, on Friday night. WSS would take a 8-4 lead in the first quarter, but a 8-4 run from the Bobcats tied things up at 12-12 to end the first. CHBC took their first lead in the second quarter, 17-16, but WSS would pull back ahead with an 8-1 run as CHBC fell behind 24-18 and the Hatchets continued to hold that six point lead, 30-24 at halftime. The Bobcats would match WSS in the third quarter, but trailed 43-35 at the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter would be CHBC’s time as an 18-6 run had then ahead 53-49 late in the fourth quarter before they held off the Hatchets and finished the 56-55 win. CHBC moves to 12-16 overall on the season and to 3-4 in the NTC. They will be right back in action this morning, playing in the NTC-CIC Boys Shootout at Warrensburg-Latham where they will face Sullivan at 11:30am.
