Lady Indians Suffer Tough Road Loss at T-Town


The Altamont Lady Indians found themselves down early and could not overcome that deficit as they suffered a tough loss on the road Tuesday night, falling at Teutopolis, 65-36. Altamont was held to just two field goals and made just one of two free throws in the first quarter and would trail 26-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Indians were again held to just two field goals in the second quarter and went 5 of 8 from the free throw line while holding the Wooden Shoes to 13 points but remained behind 39-16 at halftime. Altamont was outscored 11-7 in the third quarter as T-Town pushed their lead over the Indians out to 50-23. The Indians kept pace with the Shoes in the fourth quarter, as T-Town outscored them by just one basket, 15-13, but the early deficit was too much to overcome as Altamont fell 65-36. The Lady Indians drop to 21-4 on the season and will be off until Monday when they will be on the road again to take on Neoga in regular season National Trail Conference action.
