St. Elmo-Brownstown wrapped up their week with a 80 to 62 win over Grayville on Saturday evening as they go 3-0 on the week to start the second half of the season. The Eagles moved out to a 15-3 lead in the first quarter before a 7-4 Grayville run to close the quarter would have SEB up 19-10 at the end of the quarter. The Bison held close to the Eagles in the second quarter as SEB outscored Grayville by just two baskets, 19-15, and held a 38-25 lead at the halftime break. SEB was able to steadily pull away further in the third quarter as they outscored the Bison 20-13 and go up 58-38 as they game shifted to the fourth quarter. SEB would struggle midway through the quarter and Grayville would cut the SEB lead down to ten points, but the Eagles would pick things up offensively again and push the lead back out and would close out the 80 to 62 win. SEB is now 13-3 on the season and will play in a not so common Wednesday night regular season game when they will host Edinburg/South Fork.
