After a week off following their capture of the championship of the Dieterich Holiday Tournament, Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball got back into action on the road Thursday night, beating Mt. Olive, 58-20. After staking themselves a 15-8 lead by the end of the first quarter, BSE heated up more in the second quarter, outscoring Mt. Olive 22-8 to extend their lead out to 37-16 at halftime. The Lady Bombers would dominate the second half both offensively and defensively as they would allow just two points in each of the third and fourth quarters whole dropping in 15 points and 6 point for themselves in the two quarters to cruise to the 58-20 win. The win, the 8th straight for BSE, puts the Bombers at 17-3 on the season. They will return home for two games next week, taking on Wayne City on Monday before getting back into National Trail Conference action on Thursday when they host Altamont and will then hit the road again, taking on Central A&M on Saturday as part of the NTC vs. CIC Shootout on Saturday at Altamont.
