The Altamont Lady Indians are in the top 10 of the Associated Press Illinois High School Girls Basketball rankings released on Wednesday. The 8-2 Lady Indians are tied for 9th in the poll with Peoria Heights after receiving 18 points in the rankings. Just ahead of Altamont and Peoria Heights, Effingham St. Anthony at 8-3 and 6-0 Serena are tied for the 7th spot in the poll. One of the Lady Indians eight wins on the season came over St. Anthony just a week and a half ago, 78-67, while their two losses came to 3A Effingham and 2A Newton during the Newton Thanksgiving Tournament. St. Anthony has one more loss to the Indians, with their other two losses beside the one to Altamont came at the hands of 2A Robinson and 2A Teutopolis. Another National Trail Conference school in Neoga received 7 points in the rankings, good for the 15th spot, The full 1A rankings
