The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City girls picked up their third straight win, beating Martinsville 63-17 in their Egyptian Illini Conference opener at home on Tuesday night. CHBC showed their dominance early, outscoring the Blue Streaks 22-1 in the first quarter and found themselves ahead 41-6 at halftime. While the Bobcats scoring slowed in the second half, they still outscored Martinsville 22-11 to cruise on to the 63-17 win. CHBC is now 4-3 on the season after having won their third in a row. They will be back at home on Monday hosting Shelbyville in the first of three home games next week.
