Ramsey Girls Return Four Starters and Look to Continue Growth

Ramsey girls basketball will look to their returning experience this season to continue the improvement seen during their 23 games last season. The Rams return four starters in senior Micah Greenwood, junior Jenni Mezo, senior Olivia Carroll and junior Lillie Eddy along with senior Melody Finley who served as the 6^th girl off the bench during the season. With just one senior from last year’s squad lost to graduation, the Rams will look to the varsity experience from their juniors and seniors including Kelsy Hayes and Ellie Albert to help lead a group of eight freshman and sophomores that round out the Lady Rams roster. After going winless during the shortened COVID season in 2020-2021 and going 0-20 in 2021-2022, the Lady Rams went 3-20 last year with five of their losses coming by 5 or less points. Ramsey gets their season underway tonight at home, hosting Sandoval at 6:15pm before going on the road for the first time on Thursday to take on Macon Meridian. They will have short road trips during Thanksgiving week, playing in the CHBC Girls Thanksgiving Tournament, facing familiar opponents in CHBC, BSE and Dieterich in pool play.
