The #2 seed Altamont Indians outhit 7th seeded Dieterich 13-3 and had a big 11-run second inning in a 16-2 rout of the Movin’ Maroons in the quarterfinals of the National Trail Conference Tournament on Monday. The Indians would put up four runs in the bottom of the first inning for a 4-0 lead before busting the game open in the second with 11 runs to push out to a big 15-0 lead before tacking on their final run in the third inning for a 16-0 lead. Dieterich was able to push two runs across in the top of the fourth inning as the Indians closed out the 16-2 win. Ethan Robbins would lead the Indians offensively going 2-3 at the plate with four RBI while Adan Mcmanaway got the win going the first three innings on the mound allowing no runs while giving up just one hit and striking out five batters. Altamont stands at 16-6 on the season and will advance to the tournament semifinals where they take on #3 seed South Central at 4:00pm on Wednesday at home.
