CHBC Gets Walk-Off Win Over Okaw Valley


Trailing 4-2 going into the bottom of the 7th inning, the CHBC Bobcats would score three runs in the inning, two coming on Drake Davis’ 2-run double to get the 5-4 win over Okaw Valley on Wednesday. With Okaw Valley taking an early 1-0 lead, CHBC would tie the game up in the bottom of the 1st on an RBI double by AJ Radloff to tie the game at 1-1. Okaw Valley regained the lead 2-1 in the top of the 2nd and added on another 2 runs for a 4-1 lead at the end of the 4th inning. CHBC would cut their deficit to two runs in the bottom of the 5th when Blake Mueller, in the game as a courtesy runner, would steal home to make it a 4-2 ballgame. After a scoreless sixth inning and top of the 7th, CHBC came to the plate in the bottom of the 7th and AJ Radloff would hit a leadoff single followed by Wyatt Rueff getting hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second. Radloff would advance to third on a wild pitch to put runners at the corners. Radloff would then score on a passed ball and Mueller moved up to second. Gage Lorton was then hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second. After a strikeout, Jacob Doty walked to load the bases bringing up Davis who would hit a line drive to centerfield to score both Mueller and Lorton to get the walk-off win, 5-4. CHBC moves to 4-3 on the season.
