The Vandals built up a solid second half lead, watched it go away, but were able to rebound to get a 56 to 53 win on Tuesday night at Pana.
The Vandals jumped out strong and led 12 to 4 after the 1st quarter and led 30 to 19 at halftime. The Vandals were able to build that lead up to 15 in the 3rd quarter but watched Pana start to eat into the deficit late in the 3rd quarter and the Vandals lead was down to 39 to 32 heading into the 4th quarter. Pana eventually came all the way back to tie the game at 47. But, the Vandals then went on a 6 to 0 run to retake advantage of the game. The Vandals then hit enough free throws down the stretch to pick up the victory. It was the Vandals first win at Pana since 2015. The Vandals are now 15-15 on the season and 5-3 in the South Central Conference. They will wrap up the regular season tomorrow night at Gillespie.
