The Vandalia Vandals are still looking for heir first Vandalia Holiday Tournament win after falling twice on Tuesday and dropping to 0-3 in pool play. In their first game of the day, the Vandals would fall to Cumberland 49-44. The Vandals would trail by as much as 11 at one point and pull within three points and then get their deficit down to a single point twice in the second half, but could not put together enough offense to overcome the Pirates.
In their second game, the Vandals would fall behind early to Flora, trailing 17-6 at the end of the first. After just outscoring the Wolves in the second, the Vandals were down 30-20 at halftime before a 13-4 run in the third quarter would cut the Flora lead down to one with the Vandals trailing 34-33 heading into the fourth quarter.
