The Greenville Lady Comets defended their title and claimed the championship of the Lebanon Girls Holiday Tournament for the second year in a row with a 43-34 win over Father McGivney on Monday night.
Greenville trailed 9-7 at the end inf the first quarter and 21-18 at the half. However, a strong 3rd quarter in which the Lady Comets outscored the Griffins 10-3, gave Greenville the 28-24 lead heading into the final quarter. Greenville would keep their momentum going, outscoring Father McGivney 15-10 in the 4th to extend their lead and finish off the 43-34 win.

Natalie Iberg – 7 points
***Rylee Pickett, Megan Halleman and Natalie Iberg were all named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Lady Comets are now 10-5 on the season. They will be back in action on Saturday at the Central Shootout against Jerseyville.
