The Vandals are coming off a 59 to 0 win over Litchfield last Friday night. The Vandals were pretty efficient offensively in their win. Thomas Ritchey had just 2 carries but for 81 yards and 2 TDs. Matthew Wells completed just 2 passes but for 68 yards and 2 TDs. Matthew also became the first QB in VCHS history to reach 20 wins as a starter. The Vandals are averaging scoring 44.6 points per game and allowing 8.2 points per game—both figures lead the South Central Conference thru 5 weeks.
For the Hiltoppers, they come into the game at 0-5—still searching for way to get in the win column. Hillsboro will come in with a 3 running back set for QB Jace Tuetken on Friday night, the more traditional set for Coach Aaron Duff and the Hiltoppers on offense.
